Let Go of Your Idols

Updated: Jul 22, 2021

Please let go of your idols. No matter what you may think or believe, they won’t do anything for you. You may think they do, but they don’t.

If anything, the only thing they can do it take from you. Your money. Your thoughts. Your peace. Your time. They make you dependent. They keep you from God.

And no matter how you feel at that moment – they don’t, won’t and can’t help you. I promise you this.

That realization hurts. Trust me, I know. And you may feel ashamed. But you don’t have to. Cause God forgave you.

But this can only happen if you let go of your idols and give the things that they took from you back to God.

Key Verses

- Isaiah 54:4 (NKJV)

“Do not fear, for you will not be ashamed; Neither be disgraced, for you will not be put to shame; For you will forget the shame of your youth, And will not remember the reproach of your widowhood anymore.

- Jeremiah 11:12 (NKJV)

Then the cities of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem will go and cry out to the gods whom they offer incense, but they will not save them at all in the time of their trouble.

- 1 Corinthians 10:14 (NKJV)

Therefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry.

- Galatians 4:8 (NKJV)

But then, indeed, when you did not know God, you served those which by nature are not gods.

- 1 John 1:9 (NKJV)

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
